A cross-border initiative empowering community organisations and social enterprises in Northern Ireland and the border counties to measure, manage, and maximise their social value.
About the Social Value Collaborative

Eligibility Criteria
This programme is designed for community and social economy organisations with growth ambitions that are based and operating in Northern Ireland for and the border counties of Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan and Louth (the PEACEPLUS area).
Community and social economy organisations are those that are mission driven rather than profit maximising. They have:
- A social purpose, with their primary purpose to deliver social, environmental, cultural, or community benefit. Economic activity (trading, service delivery, asset management) is used as a means to achieve that social purpose, not an end in itself.
- Governance arrangements designed to ensure accountability to members, beneficiaries or the wider community, rather than to shareholder or external investors. They have democratic or participatory organisational structures, that include Companies limited by Guarantee, Community Interest Companies, Cooperatives, Associations, Charities and Charitable Incorporated Organisations.
- An approach to profit / surplus distribution that limits or prohibits private benefit. Any surplus is generated reinvested in the organisation or distributed in line with its social mission, with limited or no distribution to private investors.
If you are an eligible organisation looking to understand more about your social value, we would like to hear from you.
